IKPEAZU SET TO DUMP OCHENDO, AS HE COURTS OCHENDO’S ENEMIES

Obviously the relationship between Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu and his godfather Senator T.A Orji is gradually coming to an end considering the recent nocturnal visits to publicly known enemies of Ochendo in attempt to consolidate his movement to APC.

Abia Facts Newspaper gathered that Gov. Ikpeazu has visited Prince B.B Apugo more than 3 times recently and he is also set to meet with APC state working committee soon.

Our source informed us that the governor is pressing hard to move to APC before the Supreme Court decides on the ravaging PDP crisis. Remember that the electoral act allows you to move to another party once there is a crisis in the party you belong, that seems to be the loophole Gov. Ikpeazu is trying to take advantage off.

The basic reason for the governor’s movement as we gathered from our source is to secure his 2019 governorship aspiration, we learnt that he believes he needs the federal structure and might to be able to win 2019 election.

This political maneuvering of Gov. Ikpeazu is already creating big rift between him and Sen. T.A Orji, it should be remembered that recently Sen. Orji said instead he will join APC he will retire from politics. We also gathered that one of the condition given to Ikpeazu if he must join APC is to leave Sen. Orji behind, so many big wigs of APC in Abia State are not in the same page with Ochendo and so they are bent on frustrating every plan or move for him to enter the party.

While speaking with an APC big wig in Abia State who does want his name mentioned, he insisted that top APC members in Abia State have collectively decided never to allow ochendo join the party; “Ochendo to join the party, that will never happen. B.B Apugo will never allow that hope you know they very big enemies, OUK will resist that with everything, Sen. Nkechi Nwaogu will fight him to finish, Ochomen and others will not agree. Abia Facts, as far as APC is concerned Ochendo’s case is case closed, let him retire as he pronounced recently because he can never win any election again in Abia state including his son, their reign is over” he concluded.

The movement plan of Ikpeazu is not synonymous to him alone, as other governors in the faction of Markafi are also making moves to leave the party. Just recently, it was published by national dallies that Gov. Ayodele Fayose has removed every PDP initials from his campaign office in Ekiti State.
