The Adamawa state police command on Friday said it arrested a suspected member of the Boko Haram sect.
Mohammed said the suspect was being investigated by the command.
“He is now being investigated; his name or whether he is on the wanted list will be revealed after the investigation,” the deputy superintendent said.
Meanwhile, a witness in Gombi said the suspect was arrested while trying to make some withdrawal at an automated teller machine (ATM) in Gombi.
“He was arrested by a policeman who challenged him while he was trying to make withdrawal at the First bank,” the witness who identified himself as Buba said.
Abubakar said the insurgents attacked the village around 10 pm on Thursday.
